Pre-Feasibility Study Results
In July 2012 Global BioTech requested a letter from I.C.E a Costa Rican state own electric Company, ( http://www.grupoice.com ) and Femetron an Organization that represents municipalities of San Jose Costa Rica ( http://www.femetrom.go.cr ) stating their interest in the technology from Korea related to Environmental and energy solutions.
Thru our contacts in Korea GBT arranged a meeting with KECO of the Government of Korea (http://ww.keco.or.kr) to propose a cooperation agreement between the two countries and bring their technology to Costa Rica. They demonstrated also their interest in working with Costa Rica and the meeting was a success.
New Relation with Keco
In October 2012, Global BioTech coordinates together with the Korean Embassy in Costa Rica Keco’s first visit to the Country.
Keco was able to visit different Landfills and meet with Government authorities to understand better the solid waste situation in Costa Rica and look for the best options in environmental technology.

In January 31st 2013 in San Jose Costa Rica, Keco and Femetron signed cooperation agreement Initiated by GBT.
Agreement was signed by Seung-Hwan Park (Chairman of KECO), Johnny Araya (President of Femetrom and Mayor of San Jose), Rene Castro (Minister of Environment) and Teofilo De La Torre (President of I.C.E).

In January 31st 2013 Global BioTech goes to visit the Presidential House with KECO and Korean Ambassador to meet with Mr. Alfio Piva (Vice President of Costa Rica). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the environmental issues and Cooperation from Korea.

Keco Visits Ministry of Environment
On February 1st 2013 Global BioTech, Keco and Korean Ambassador visits MINAE in San Jose Costa Rica and meets with Ms. Maria Guzman O. ( Vice Minister of Environment ) to discuss Environment agreements and invitation to visit KECO in Korea.
Celebration Weekend
On February 2nd 2013 Global BioTech and KECO take some time to enjoy the weekend after a successful visit with the signing of the agreements.
We were able to visit national park to appreciate the beautiful Country and enjoy a nice dinner with the group.
Pre-Feasibility Study Results
Korean environment Corporation (KECO ) and the Metropolitan Federation of municipalities (Femetron), together with the Embassy of Korea, presented on 14th March 2014 at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Corobici the pre-feasibility study results to build a power plant from solid waste in Costa Rica.
In the afternoon, held a session of promotion on the Korean environmental industry and development opportunities in Costa Rica, in order to present technology and environmental innovation in Korea, in search of the future cooperation with Costa Rica in the related areas.
Some of the main themes that were played, were the current situation, policies and facilities (power plants from solid waste, landfill and environmental industry of Korea etc), as well as the current situation and the challenges of Costa Rica for the construction of a power plant from solid waste. The Korean Ambassador Chun mentioned in his speech that Korea will continue with its effort to share with Costa Rica technology and experience who possesses in the environmental industry.
